Egypt: Tourism Minister - Developing Egyptian Museum Supports Cultural Tourism
 Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou said on Monday 15/12/2014 that the first phase of developing the Egyptian Museum would have a positive effect on promoting cultural tourism. In statements, the minister said the various State bodies are concerned with the tourism file and the Ministry of Tourism spares no effort in bringing tourism to its previous rates, particularly cultural tourism. Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab inaugurated the first phase of development works at the museum on Monday in the presence of Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh El-Damati and a number of ministers along with the German embassy's foreign relations officer, European Union Ambassador in Cairo James Moran and Cairo Governor Galal El-Said. Damati said that the remaining phases of the museum development covered King Tutankhamun's hall. The Egyptian Museum is one of the largest and most prominent museums worldwide, he added. MENA
